My Story
From an "Expat" to an "Immigration Specialist" with 1000+ successful case closures.

I have been on YOUR side of the Swiss permit application process.
In 2012, I moved to Switzerland for love and have lived very happily since then in the gorgeous city of Luzern. Nonetheless, my first Swiss residence permit application was as nail biting as it was fraught with unknowns. With some patience and luck it worked out, but my husband and I had no help to navigate the stressful process.
3 years later my husband experienced a near miss with his permanent residence application when he realized he had a permit quite different to the one he thought he had, and my own permanent residence permit application in 2017 mysteriously seemed to go missing only to reappear with an overnight approval some 8 months later. I also witnessed my husband and daughter go through the exacting demands of acquiring Swiss citizenship which proved as long and exhausting as it was exciting (and successful!). I am now preparing for my own naturalization application in 2022.
Therefore, I really know from personal experience exactly how stressful and challenging this can all be and the importance of having an expert guide you through your journey!
After spending 8 years advising uniquely on Swiss immigration matters for two top law firms, I founded Swiss Permit Solutions in order to offer companies and individuals my expertise in navigating through the many complexities of the Swiss immigration process with a personalized touch. I have managed over a thousand Swiss immigration cases, consulting, coordinating, troubleshooting, and negotiating with the multiple stakeholders who are involved. These stakeholders include private clients, or companies and their employees, federal authorities, cantonal authorities, and the numerous local communal authorities where the journey of a Swiss permit can often start and finish.
Managing the process alone can be daunting. So, whether it is a first-time permit application, a renewal, or ongoing strategic advice that you need, I am here to help you, your family, or your company find the best solution possible.
My Background
I earned a Bachelors in Political Science and Italian Literature from the University of Arizona in 2006. I graduated from the University of Denver, Sturm College of Law in 2011 with a “Juris Doctor” (JD) degree and am a member of the Colorado bar in the USA.
I started my legal career in Denver assisting clients with deportation defense, asylum applications, and green card applications. My legal career in Switzerland started in 2013 with Fragomen, a top global law firm focused uniquely on immigration. Three years later, I joined the Zurich office of Froriep, a top Swiss law firm, as an associate overseeing their immigration portfolio. In both firms, my principal activity has been advising clients from all over the world on immigration matters in Switzerland.
While my extensive experience to date in Swiss immigration law has been under the auspices of an international and national law firm based here in Switzerland, I have only ever offered my services in Switzerland as an immigration consultant rather than lawyer and do not represent clients in Swiss courts.
